Administrative data-processing principles

  1. Student year/class remain unchanged; course add/drops are processed manually; registration timeline remains identical to that for your current year in school.
  2. Maximum number of students per class uses the additional student cap.
  3. The course addition timeline is identical to that for Formosa Plastic-sponsored students’ manually-processed add/drops.
  4. Curriculum Development Division handlers — Engineering: Wang, Ya-Chun (ext. 2209); Environment Resources: Chien, Nai-Ching (ext. 2208); Management and Design: Lin, Hsin-Ti (2024.08.08 Update) (ext. 2207).
  5. Once you have added a course, you must notify the Computer Center to merge you into the class (Ming Chi Cyber University/Self-Directed Learning Cloud College; Microsoft Teams).

Points of note for Formosa Plastics-sponsored students

  1. Stay aware of your own graduation status, and the progress you are making in your credit program.
  2. If you have special course offering/registration requirements, you must notify your department, advisor, and the Curriculum Development Division.
  3. Keep your maximum number of credits per term in mind. Overloading is not allowed.
  4. Any course substitutions must be handled before graduation.
  5. When you take Year 4, 1st semester courses during your Year 3, 2nd semester, because courses are offered on a merged basis, two identically-named courses will appear in Ming Chi Cyber University/Self-Directed Learning Cloud College.
  6. When you take Year 4, 1st semester courses during your Year 3, 2nd semester, because courses are offered on a merged basis, if the course requires using Microsoft Teams, you must proactively ask your instructor or classmates to add you to the platform.
  7. Once the manual add/drop process is complete, you can access your transcript in the Student Information Portal.
  8. Complete manual registration as early as possible. The earlier you complete your course registration files, the earlier you can begin to use the educational platform.

Manual course registration

  1. The deadline for manual course registration is 1 week after the end of regular internet registration. The deadline for changing enrollments is one week after the online add/drop period. Mid-semester course withdrawal is manually processed in accordance with the calendar.
  2. The Year 4 curriculum follows the online regular course registration and add/drop deadline dates for the Year 4, 1st semester and Year 4, 2nd semester academic calendar. You must submit your add/drop form to your advisor, department secretary, and Curriculum Development Division handler within one week of the add/drop deadline.
  3. The Year 3, 2nd semester curriculum follows the online regular course registration and add/drop deadline dates of the Year 3, 2nd semester academic calendar. You must submit your add/drop form to your advisor, department secretary, and Curriculum Development Division handler within one week of the add/drop deadline.
  4. Submission for manually-processed add/drop forms: Use your school student email to send the add/drop form to your advisor, department secretary, and Curriculum Development Division handler.
