Applying for Inter-University Course Selection and Registration
【Inter-University Course Selection and Registration】
Overview of Inter-University Course Selection and Registration
1.MCUT students who apply for inter-school course registration must fulfill the following requirements: With the exception of failed courses that require re-take and which are affecting the student’s time limit for graduation, required courses cannot be taken as inter-school courses. Courses are limited to those not offered by MCUT in the current semester or the current summer semester, or courses that are offered but for which the student has a time conflict.
2.Credits taken in inter-school courses may not exceed one-third the student’s total credits for the current semester, with the exception of students who have received a graduation extension.
3.Inter-school courses selected for registration cannot conflict with courses taken at MCUT.
4.However, MCUT students doing inter-school course registration at Chang Gung University or Chang Gung University of Science and Technology are not subject to the restrictions in items one and two above.
5.MCUT may accept students from other universities to enroll in courses that are already offered. If a course has an enrollment cap, MCUT students have priority. All registered students, regardless of school, must pay credit fees, and MCUT may (as required) charge computer practicum fees, material fees, and language education practicum fees.
6.Students who have already paid tuition and miscellaneous fees during enrolment at MCUT, Chang Gung University, or Chang Gung University of Science and Technology do not need to pay credit fees when selecting and registering for courses in other schools within the Tri-University Alliance.
Applying for Inter-School Course Selection and Registration
1.Application procedure and deadlines:
2.MCUT students who apply for courses at an outside institution must complete the MCUT internal application process prior to the end of the semester’s Add-Drop period; complete registration for course(s) at the institution offering such within said institution’s deadlines; and finally submit the application form to the Office of Academic Affairs' Curriculum Development Division at MCUT before the end of the fourth week of the semester. Application forms that are not submitted within the deadline will result in associated credits not being recognized as graduation credits.
3.A student at another institution who applies for a course at MCUT must complete their application within one week after MCUT’s Add-Drop date.
